The weather is cooler but there are a ton of friends here so he is happy to run like a madman with them. <br/><br/> I’m a little annoyed though. Austin has pretty foliage but I missed the cherry blossom season in the pacific northwest. It’s lovely to see all the blooming spring flowers in the most unlikely places like roundabouts that help slow down traffic in neighbourhoods. Feeling the weight of this babe. Working out has been a challenge but it feels so good after because my hip joints have been sore after a not so restful sleep.<br/><br/> I do feel winded when I go up and down the stairs though. Also carrying the little dude has been a chore.<br/><br/> We finally have our house up for market and we hope it sells quickly. I don’t think I have ever lived in such a clean house. of course we have a whole load of boxes in the garage!<br/><br/> I’m starting to get a little more excited about moving closer to home but still its a little bittersweet because I heart my friends in Austin. We finally held our garage sale at Vox. At first I was worried because Ibdidnt think we had enough donations but our community really came through!<br/><br/> It was a slow start to the garage sale but in the end we raised some food coin for global missions to Afghanistan and India. it was also a good thing for us to be out and about with the local community as we were able to answer their questions and tell them what we were all about.<br/><br/> I got to know the community in East Austin as well as the Vox community better so that was a bonus for me! <br/><br/> long day not only for me but Pax and T as well. The little dude has been stuck to me for the past few weeks so not seeing me for half a day was a total off day.<br/><br/> If you live in or near East Austin cone visit us! Perhaps pecans would be a good touch next time.<br/><br/> Recipe:<br/><br/> 1skinless boneless chicken breast<br/> 1 stalk of celery<br/> 1 apple <br/> 1 cup whole red grapes<br/> 3 tablespoons mayo<br/> 1 lemon juiced<br/> salt and pepper to taste.<br/><br/> I marinated the chicken breast with salt,pepper,mirin overnight. I then poached it over chicken stock,carrots and mushrooms for about 20 minutes.<br/><br/> Let the chicken cool and cut into cubes.<br/> In a bowl add mayo,lemon juice,salt and pepper and mix it together.<br/><br/> Add cubed chicken. Peel and cut apples into cubes and add to bowl. Cut celery thinly and halve the grapes. Add to bowl. Mix everything together. Its a fun place for the little dude to splash around and play with the sand! If I had only known there was sand stuff here I would have brought his sand toys.<br/> We are spending most of our time here in the sans as the wee one is scared of the water guns.<br/> This place isn’t too far from the IKEA in Round Rock. <br/><br/> Fun afternoon had by all.
